Chris Anderson and Ryan O'Keeffe on Open Innovation

Live-streamed from San Francisco, on Tuesday 7 March we presented the third #EnelFocusOn, on the occasion of the inauguration in Berkeley of the second Enel branded startup accelerator.

With Chris Anderson, creator of the maker philosophy and the long tail theory, that is, the transition from mass economy to demand fragmentation, we discussed new innovation models.

During the third appointment of #EnelFocusOn, which took place in the cradle of digital industry creativity, Chris Anderson y and Enel’s Communications Director, Ryan O'Keeffe, explored how the digital transformation is changing the old paradigms of R&D departments, creating a new model based on the concept of Open Innovation.

A model in which our company strongly believes. Precisely on March 7 we inaugurated in the premises of the Berkeley campus, in California, the Group’s second Innovation Hub, which follows the one established in July 2016 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The ribbon cutting of the new Enel branded startup accelerator was attended by Enel’s Innovation and Sustainability Director Ernesto Ciorra, and by the Open Innovation theoretician Henry Chesbrough, who is Adjunct Professor at the Berkeley Haas School of Business.
